Roulette is a game of chance that is extremely popular in European casinos. In roulette, the player places a bet on a number, 1 -36 plus 0 (and 00 in American casinos). Or alternatively the player can place an outside bet on red, black, even, odd, 1st, 2nd, or 3rd 12 or a number of other bets on groups of numbers. A ball is then spun around a wheel with 37 (or 38) slots, one for each of the number previously mentioned. Based on the number on the slot the ball rolls into, the player either receives a payout, or loses his bet.
